Secondary Education (ESO) is made up of 4 years (ages 12-16). The number
of lessons is increased in order to fit in subjects such as Technology,
Sciences, German or French. The number of hours of English are reduced
since the level that has been achieved is already very high and we focus
on preparing Cambridge University External Exams (Preliminary English

In their 3rd Year of Secondary school (3rd ESO) pupils choose whether they want to continue with science or technology. In order to help them with their choice the Educational Psychologist advises pupils according to the higher education course they wish to do. In their 4th Year of Secondary School (4th ESO) there are 3 strands: Science, Technology or Humanities. There are some subjects that are common to all pupils and others which are specific to their choices. Education for the prevention of Drug Abuse is essential in today’s society. Because of this, it is covered as from the 1st year and talks are given for parents. Pastoral Care takes place throughout all the years, placing great emphasis on the independence and whole development of the pupil. |
