Our Centre is Spanish, authorised by the Spanish Ministry of Education. This means that we follow the Spanish system’s curriculum, with a High English Content and we use English to teach some of the subjects. For Secondary pupils, there is also the option to study another European language such as French or German. The sessions in English are part of the activity and subject timetable, as are Spanish and Valencian, using only the target language for each session, and this form of learning is started in Pre-school, using active methodology in the classroom. |

The Centre has an abundance of teaching aids, audiovisual, graphic and computer materials so as to help familiarise the pupils with the languages. We organise and encourage visits to English speaking countries for stays lasting between a fortnight and 3 months so that pupils can learn about social and cultural customs. |

The Centre runs English Summer Courses during the summer holidays in July and August. Any pupil who wishes to start at Mas Camarena in Primary or Secondary Education without the necessary fluency in English or Spanish will have to take this course, and will have tailored teaching until they achieve a standard that is good enough for them not to have any problems in following lessons. When a foreign student starts at the School, he or she will have lessons adapted to their level of Spanish or English so that they adapt as quickly as possible. As from 2nd Primary, pupils take Cambridge University examinations (Starters, Movers, Flyers), which we use as an external accreditation of our high standards. In the Secondary school, the Preliminary English Test the First Certificate in English are taken. They take the Advanced Certificate after Bachillerato. |
